What is XProcess?
XProcess (pronounced Cross Process) is an app that simulates a cross processing effect, which as the developer says, "makes your photos strange and beautiful".

The App
With XProcess, all you have to do after launching the app, is take or open a photo, and then use the red, green or blue sliders to adjust the colours to give you the desired Cross Process look, then select "Other" and adjust the saturation or add a vignette, and then save or share via Twitter or Facebook.
The app has a basic crop/edit mode, which can be enabled or disabled, supports up to full resolution, saving images as either JPEG or PNG format, but the best feature is the "Shake to shuffle" mode, which as the name suggests, shake your iPhone and have the app produce random effects.
So what do I think of XProcess?
I really like this app which is a nice alternative to Cross Process app, offering more flexibility than the aforementioned, and ease of use with its sliders and "Shake to shuffle" mode.
If you are looking for a Cross Process app, then check out XProcess, as this is an app that will not disappoint.
As for a rating, well I'm giving this app 5 stars, but its not a "Must Have".

Slidefilms in C41, and colornegative films in E6.
Thanks for such an nice post.
Looks really interesting!
Same developer of SkipBleach (an app I like a lot) and Monochromia (which I feel has improved significantly since its original release). youthhr seems to make these cool apps that won't really tear the charts in the App Store, but are very good niche apps.

@Marty. Agreed, and I have reviews of his other apps coming up.
So XProcess saves full resolution for an iPhone 4? I only ask because SkipBleach description say it saves full resolution, but Marty reviewed it earlier saying it only saved up to 1200x1600
@Miki. In my tests both apps saved at full-res on my iPhone 4.
Thanks Glynn! Can't wait to try this out!
This looks pretty cool but nick campbells crossprocess app is still one of my go to apps as it produces wonderful results and also adds a bit of grain. Will still give this a shot as I like the look of the car photo above.
@Miki,
Sorry about that. SkipBleach fixed the resolution issue in an update released after I'd posted my initial review. I missed going back and updating it. I believe Monochromia now also supports full-res, up to 5MP.

I believe this is correct, but I've not written my Monochromia review yet or checked output resolution. I will check later and confirm.
What is the function of the color layer option in the settings?
"XProcess" is a great app.
"Cross Process" is not a great app. I made the unfortunate blunder of purchasing the latter (hastily, while in-n-out of a train).
Oh well; I could only appreciate "XProcess" that much more.
Basically, I like apps with slider controls (TiltShiftGen, Tiltshift, Monotori, etc.), so the color processing app fits neatly into the mix as must have.
Remember: XProcess (not the other...oops!)
Cheers all.
@Matt
I've experimented with the Color Layer and I believe it just adds a darker/stronger color tint over your photo. So if you have a predominately red tint to your photo, the color layer will enhance it. Personally, I like the color layer off so it has more of a vintage look rather than a color filter (i.e., those color cards you can buy to put over your lens/flash to give your photos a particular tint).
