Price drop: lo-mob

Lo-mob brings lo-fi and photographic experimentations to your mobiles pictures.

App Store Description: Have you ever experiment with your old analog cameras? Have you put a 35mm film in a medium format body? Have you ever tried to achieve Through The Viewfinder (TTV) photography by shooting a picture with a camera through the viewfinder of another?

Do you just love to stick you eye in the viewfinder of an old medium format body? Have you tried to deconstruct an instant picture, ripping off its frame to keep only the film? Do you prefer sometimes the subtle colors rendering of an outdated film from an old camera than an perfect picture? Are grain, noise, oversaturation, scratches and frames meaningful to you?

Do you just love your iPhone because it's the perfect toy to play with pictures? Do you often take a picture and try to treat it in various iPhone softwares?

If one answer to the questions above is yes, you may just love Lo-mob!

That's great news! I love the Lo-mob app, and I don't understand why it doesn't get as much attention as a lot of the other vintage photo apps.

Because it need an update for resolution and speed. The update is already announced. Hopefully they can deliver. The filters are good.

Downloaded this the other day at full price and was already disappointed in it. Now that it's free it stings even worse. There are far better apps out there. Spend the .99$ and get Pictureshow. Far better interface, much faster, full res images and just a superior app in all ways. It's free now so why not. But you probably won't use it much.

Thanks iPhoneography. This app has been on my radar. I'm glad I waited. Took me forever to download though. I had already made it to work when I saw that it was free. I had to walk around downtown and use the city wifi to get it. Took about 45 minutes to finish. I hope its worth it. You wont hear me complain though, free is fine.

Too right. I guess I'm just sour cause I paid for it. It was definitely on my radar fr a long time as well. I just got impatient. There are decent features and hopefully with the update on the way it gets better. Thing about this app is that I WANT to like it. I like the developers and the following for the app is positive.

I bugged my sig. other this morning until he downloaded it. I figure that as long as it's free, he'd be more willing to give it a go (he's not really into using the iPhone as a camera, but who knows ... I may convert him yet. :D)
As for me, I've had it awhile and so I can't really complain that it's free right now. I'm sure I've gotten more than $1.99 of use out of it already.

I downloaded it a few days after the developer announced that an update with high resolution was in the works. Bummer that it is now free, but if the update comes through I will have a very nice quality app to use. Hurry up, Apple! Approve already!

Meh. I paid for it, but...I guess I don't regret it.

@Rudegus
I have Picture Show too and love it also. Just the surprises in random mode :)

What i really like in Lo-Mob are the beautiful frames which you can use seperately just to switch off all other options in the particular effekt. Give them a try!

I have both and love them both. I use Picture Show alot more, though.
