Editors comments: OK, I just bought this app/eBook because next year my sister-in-law is getting married and I have been asked to take the wedding photos (and before you ask, yes I will be shooting this with my iPhone 4). Now whilst I can take a snap or two, I am no wedding photographer, so when I saw this app was on offer priced at £0.59/$0.99/€0.79, I thought perfect, this should give me some good ideas on how to shoot the wedding.
From the apps title, "Wedding Photography 101", you might be forgiven for thinking that you were going to get 101 tips, tricks and ideas, but sadly this is not the case. What you do get is just 10 easy lessons, with the author telling you haw he conducts the days event.
Having read all 10 pages!!, yes 10 pages, I would say that if you are a wedding photographer, then you will learn absolutely nothing from this app, and if you are like me, a complete novice at wedding photography, then you will learn absolutely nothing from this app.
I will leave this app on my iPad, and live in hope that the app gets updated with some useful stuff, but what this app offers is less than what could be found for free on the internet, but still it was only £0.59, so I have not lost much.

Wow, so you are really going to shoot the whole wedding with your iPhone 4 or you're just pulling our legs here? It would be interesting though to see the results. I think you can pull it off. Also to be honest, I think you might be able to get better tips off of YouTube on how to shoot a wedding. Just sayin. :)
@Vic, indeed I am, although it will only be a civil service, no wedding dress etc, so no fancy church wedding to worry about.
Thanks for the review and sorry the app didn't meet your expectations. The title of the app was in reference to a 101 course a beginning course so didn't mean to mislead anyone that there are 101 chapters. You are right there are lots of good free info on the web for people that want to spend time searching for info. The goal of any ebook (or real book) is to have useful information for people about one topic in one place. I created this app to have ten tips on how to get more creative with wedding photography after shooting 400 plus weddings there are some simple questions people always ask me. Instead if having a huge ebook (priced anywhere from 6.99 to 14.99) I decided to start with a basic book of ten tips and keep the price down. From here I will be adding content for free (although as more is added the cost for new users will probably go up a bit). I think right now as a guide for new photographers learning the art of photography there are some great tips in here for the price and as we update this hope you can write another review or post your thoughts. I love to hear all feedback and take that as a way to improve what I have created so far.
Thanks,
Mark

Thanks for stopping by and providing feedback.
Some of the things I'd like to know as a novice at wedding photography are:
1. What is the correct etiquette when setting up the shots.
2. How should I position the bride, the groom and the guests. I can look at traditional wedding photos, but what modern day positions do you recommend.
3. I'd like to see more do's and don'ts.
These are just some of the things I'd like to know before entering the lions den.
Thanks for the feedback Glyn, those are actually some really good suggestions and I will start working on adding some of these to the next updates of the app!
Thanks,
Mark
