Glyn Evans CineCrop improves your photos by cropping them to cinematic aspect ratios used by feature films.
When directors want to create epic, vivid feeling imagery, they shoot their films with Anamorphic lenses. These lenses create the widescreen look popularized by modern feature films. CineCrop allows you to recreate this look by cropping your photos to Anamorphic, and other cinematic aspect ratios.

I really don't think this app has any practical use in the real world!!!..Yes!.It has tons of crop options!, but I really don't think such a wide angle crops would be of any real use in the day to day photographs that I take from my iPhone.
Just my take!
I'd have a punt if it was 59p..no more
Camera HD Jnr does most of this for free already!
Does Camera HD need an Ios4 update? I just tried it, and it cut most of the picture out. I framed the shot within the chosen aspect but it cuts out half the picture in landscape mode
Hey all! Thanks for the comments :)
I just wanted to answer some of the questions here:
@Darren: When the app is released, it will be $0.99, so it's nice and cheap!
@RIchard B: I tried Camera HD before developing this app, and I agree it has somewhat similar functionality, but CineCrop is much more versatile. Camera HD automatically crops your image when you take a picture, and you're not able to reposition your crop after the fact or play with multiple aspect ratios. CineCrop features a totally non destructive workflow, so you can go back and change your cropping aspect ratio after taking your picture. You can also reposition the cropping area on your photo, rather than being locked in to the framing you take with the camera. Once you try it, you'll immediately see the advantages. :)
@JohnS: CineCrop works best when taking pictures in landscape mode, rather than portrait mode, but you can still use it in portrait mode if you take your photos with a cinematic cropping ratio in mind.
Well, I'm sold :)
I think this app would come in extremely useful in real-world video workflows, such as doing storyboarding or getting ideas / inspiration from the crop in cinema form. Even that aside, for personal use I very often crop to 2:35 ratio and I always do it on my computer in post. It'd be much easier to have a super sexy app that does it correctly and easily for me, on the go. Highly recommend it.
