Is it true that it only captures in a low res format?

Thanks! It is too bad really... Even if it only did 1 frame a second at full res I would buy it.

Even an DSLR won't do more than a few frames per seconds at full resolution. What would you expect from an iPhone?

I expect it to be able to do it... I had a Win Mobile phone quit a few years ago and it would continuous shoot as long as you held the button. 2-3 shots a second about. Using snapture this is almost possible but no iPhone 4 update yet... So yeah I expect a modern phone to be able to do this!

Maybe that each image is only VGA, but 400 VGA images is still more than 100 megapixels of information. Of course, you must be creative to make something useful with that information. But photography is not about creativity? Otherwise, the app could create for you nice photo sequences with a resolution of up to 4MP! ;-)
