Editors comments: This is a unique and interesting app, that can produce some really interesting photos from either the camera or camera roll, however like some many of these unique and quirky app is low-res, saving at just 640 x 960 on an iPhone 4!!

Some nice effects and worth a go to see what you can come up with. I hope that if the price increases, they plan to add more effects and higher resolution. Otherwise, quite a unique app and worth checking out.
I like the idea that new photo apps offer something really new, but not just copy others. Of course new things need updates and improvement, but I don't know any app that was perfect right after its launch.
Since I'm a "app-addict" and this was just $.99 I went ahead and got this one, despite the lo-res saved file size. The way I see it, with enough of us out here calling for it to eventually be raised to full-res, it's $.99 well invested!
Come on Glyn, let's rally the troops and help make this good app a great one!
Hi Guys, unit9 here the developers
this is a first draft indeed, we did it in hacking a 3d game framework unity3d.
Improvement and updates are hopefully on the way, high res would be the cherry over the cake.
Thank you for your positive feedbacks so far, any additional support is obviously more than welcome to make it happen.
Hi unit9, just got your new app and I am having some problems.
Are you able to make a 3D photo if the pick has been modifed by another app?
It is just saving the original pick to the camera roll and kicking me out of the app.
I am using a 3GS.
This 3D app is really cool and I look foward to the up-dates.
Hi biramc,
thank you for your feedback, you're glad you like 3D Photo.
Even though we can successfully import photos from other apps or even just downloaded from the internet, in some cases we have seen the behaviour you are describing. The issue has been reported and will address it very soon.
Stay tuned!
Hi guys,
we are really happy to announce that we have managed to render the 3d photos at x4 the current resolution, which for an iPhone 4 means 1920x1280 without affecting the speed of the app! We will be submitting this update in the next days so keep an eye out for it. We will still continue to work on this matter and improve the resolution even more in future updates.
Thanks again for your valuable feedback, it's what drives us to improve this app.
When will you have it on the Canadian app store?
Hi Ian, the app is already on the Canadian AppStore and all other AppStores too.
You should be able to find it here: http://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/3d-photo/id408387600?mt=8
Otherwise let us know and we will investigate more.
Thanks
Still can't see it. Is it somehow due to me using an iPad?
Yes, iPad is not supported yet, though we are looking into that as well for future releases. If you have an iPhone or iPod you should be able to download it from there.
Hi all,
Good news! 3D Photo has been updated. Available on the Appstore, 3D Photo is now in high resolution!

How about making it available for us poor iPad 1 users? We know we can't use the camera, but manipulating saved pics would be fun.
Hi Ian,
we are indeed working on a new version of 3D Photo that will support the iPad as well.
Stay tuned!
