Glyn Evans Press release: "bickr is a stylish blog devoted entirely to photos taken with iPhones – the emerging field known as iPhoneography.
Mobile phones are now ubiquitous in the UK – we all take ours with us everywhere we go. The standard of the integral iPhone camera, coupled with the availability of thousands of apps devoted to taking and enhancing photos on an iphone mean that the iPhone is perfect for taking pictures in situations and of things that wouldn’t have occurred to us even 10 years ago.
Capturing such pictures; the minutiae of life and the beauty we all find in the mundane as well as the momentous is what bickr is all about. It’s a photo album for all of us. Anyone can submit a photo to bickr, providing it has been taken on an iPhone.
bickr was launched by ‘BinaryDad’ in August 2010, and enjoyed immediate success, attracting over 30,000 hits within its first eight weeks. BinaryDad curated the site until December 2010, when he decided to devote his energies to developing his own photography business.
In January 2011, bickr was taken over by Kelly and Ruth with the aim of making bickr even more accessible to new iPhoneographers by collaborating with the leading iPhoneography blog iPhoneography.com and prominent ‘Mummy Bloggers,’ bringing regular themed periods aimed at a variety of audiences, inviting guest bloggers to give advice on iPhone photography offering tips to iPhoneographers of all abilities and introducing give-aways for participants who submit photographs during themed days.
bickr is relaunching on Saturday 29th January and are currently taking photo submissions. If you would like to submit a photograph, you can use the submission form here.
If you’d like to get involved with Bickr as a guest editor or have any suggestions for future themes, you can follow us on Twitter @bickrblog

I've just registered with Bickr and submitted a pic, so will see what happens.
I have to say though, it is the most confusing and un-user-friendly website I've ever seen!
I've filled in my profile but there seems to be no way of actually viewing your profile to see how it looks.
I hope they redesign the usability of the site as it is terrible at the moment!
It's Saturday so I am off to check out the relaunch.
I just tried to get a look but the site is horrible slow... Too much, unexpected traffic?
I just registered. Looks promising. Hopefully there will be an iphone app to upload pics for this soon :)
