It's been 6 months since the last update, but today sees ToonPAINT get updated to version 1.3, bringing with it various fixes and support for the iPhone 4's retina display, but sadly not full-res support.
So what's new in ToonPAINT 1.3?
- SHARING: You can share your favorite ToonPAINT creations via Facebook, Twitter, or email, right from within ToonPAINT.
- iPhone4 SUPPORT: ToonPAINT now includes hi-res icons and graphics for the iPhone4 retina display.
- FIX: Fixed some memory management issues linked to IOS4.
- FIX: Fix for a rare bug that could cause white noise to appear in the Magisketch results.
- FIX: Improved paint canvas alignment inside saved images.

Hi,
Thanks for the great post. We are busy working on an iPad and Mac Desktop version of ToonPaint that will support full resolution rendering. For now on the iPhone there is just not enough memory or processor power.
Bruce.
Great app, I've been using it a lot.
Bruce, could you elaborate on that? What is it about Toon Paint that makes it so much more resource intensive than other photo editing apps that do support higher resolutions? My understanding is that the iPhone 4 has double the RAM of the iPad and the same processor...is it just that the iPad screen isn't very hi-res?
And I love the app, by the way!
