Easily add words to your photos, with easyTitler

easyTitler is billed as "the easiest, most complete and creative way to add text to your pictures", and whilst this may be true, the saved results are a disappointingly low-res of just 1244x928 [that's about 1 megapixel].

easyTitler is quite feature rich, with 17 different fonts, amazing effects; Multiply, Overlay or Screen the text's colour over the image, along with support for any picture format: Vertical (portrait), horizontal (landscape) or square images, as well as letting you...

  • Add unlimited bits of text (performance may vary based on device's virtual memory)
  • Rotate, resize & move your text over the picture freely
  • Modify space between letters & lines of text
  • Pick the right colour, using the colour palette or taking a colour from the picture
  • Set font's opacity
  • Exclusive Invert effect; fill bits of text with your picture
  • Share to: Facebook, Twitter, Flickr & email

Whilst easyTitler offers some nice features, its the apps lack of full-res support that stops me recommending it, but it is an app that should definitely be added to the watch list.

Thanks. I'm adding this one to my AppShopper wish list; hopefully the developers will update it to support full-res.

If not for the Lo-res save I'd have already bought it. An app like this really needs to be able to support the highest res possible.

May i suggest PHONTO? It's free, does the same and saves in full res.

@Butow: I have Phonto and it works pretty good. In fact I used it on my current avatar.

So disappointing. I was excited to see the versatility of incorporating the text into the picture but what I found was a buggy mess. I have only been able to get multiple text boxes to process on a handful of photos. 90% of the time only a single text box will process and there are constant bugs in placing and editing the text. This feels like a half baked app at this point and I'd advise others to steer clear until the developer has addressed the numerous issues. Ultimately, were it functioning properly, and if it allowed hi res exports, it would be a wonderful addition for graphic design-minded iphoneographers. I can only hope that fixes are in the works, otherwise this will become deadware in no time.

Unfortunately Alvaro is bluntly resistant to allowing any help or beta testing from professionals & insists on "in-house" testing. While this stubbornness is quite often the result of many a new developer, it's also the cause of his downfalls in his initial release of v1.0. Low resolution & anything sub par will never be acceptable, having no "undo" button when applying or shall we say trying an effect is just poor development. Now the "sneak peek" shows ONLY 5 new fonts. Where Phonto (yes its free & full resolution) offers close to 30 fonts & growing each update. And iWatermark one of the all-time best includes maybe 50 fonts & adds more whenever they update. Both of which include unique fonts (free for commercial use) and extremely user friendly User Interfaces. If a developer is going to charge & let alone compete with others... They need to be willing to accept help, test with various sources & take critiques & feedback, make the best app releases possible (not cheapen out on the less is more approach) & make better apps than their competitors!

easyTITLER has potential but still is being help back by the developer!

This blog is nice and amazing. I really like your post! It's also nice to see someone who does a lot of research and has a great knack for writing, which is pretty rare from bloggers these days.
Thanks!

Checked this app out and looked really good but agreed that it would be better if you could save high res images - Nice to see the developer listened to this and new version has this and more fonts - now it's a GREAT app!
