Create TiltShift Videos on your iPhone

TiltShift Video is a universal app that lets you create TiltShift videos or photos from existing photos or videos, right on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, and to celebrate this apps 1st birthday, it is on sale, this weekend, for just £0.69/$0.99/€0.79. Since its creation a year ago, TiltShift Video has received plenty of updates, going from strength to strength, and is a recommended app, if you are in to shooting, creating and editing videos on you iPhone (or iDevice).

Features:

  • Transform any video recorded with (or synchronized to) your device into an awesome tilt-shift video.
  • Export your videos in HD (720p) or choose between the other export presets. [Export resolution is limited by the resolution of the original video].
  • TiltShift Video accepts videos of any resolution and aspect ratio. The only limitations are that videos can't be bigger than 1280x720 or smaller than 192x144.
  • Change the playback velocity of your resulting video to simulate time-lapse sequences.
  • Adjust the blur strength and position to get incredible "miniature" effects.
  • Easily adjust your video saturation, contrast, brightness and vignetting to get the best results.
  • Choose your video's soundtrack from one of the catchy music loops provided with the app or, simply, select one of the songs in your library.
  • Process still images from your Camera Roll or extract still frames from your videos. (The image resolution output is limited to 2048x2048).

that sounds not so bad, didn't know something like this exists.

does it have a instant-tiltshift function like now build in instagram 2.1?

especially for video-shooting i guess that would make sense, no?

@Ludwig

No, it is a post-processing app. Video processing is quite slow meaning it's not extraordinary in term of speed.

Photo res support is kinda low. It cannot multitask during processing. User experience IMHO is not smooth.

Hi Glyn

I've been mucking around with this app for a wile now, although not to create 'miniature' scenes, but to try and enhance ordinary video.
Here's my latest example: http://vimeo.com/28973864

I do like it as an app, and especially it's ease of use on the good old iPhone; I'm going to continue experimenting with it.

cheers

Richard
