Great post! I downloaded FiLMiC Pro for my 4S when it was available for free but haven't had a chance to play with it because I was a bit intimidated by the interface and the settings. Your video really helped explain everything. Thanks!

This would be my app of choice for videos if it had a "Flip Screen" setting like "Almost DSLR" does. I shoot a lot with the Owle Bubo and Envision's 35mm adapter so I really need that flip so I'm not looking at everything upside down.

I just talked with the guys at Filmic Pro and they are implementing the flip screen feature to use encinema adapter.

Hi Aron,

Did the developers of Filmic Pro tell you when the Flip Screen feature will be available for Filmic Pro?

Thanks,
Matt

No they just told me they are working on it as fast as they can. They are very fast in fixing issues. I will post it here when I get the news.

This answered, indirectly, a question I had about the app. My videos were all upside down. If I turned 35mm flip on, then the display was upside down, and the taken video was fine, but that's not good either.

Watched your video, noticed your rotation lock was off. I keep mine on all the time. Turned mine off, and the app started taking videos the right way up. Wouldn't have thought of that myself, probably.
