This is slightly off topic, as I rarely post news on none iOS app, but Snapheal from Macphun is such an easy to use and impressive photo touch-up and removal tool, that I just had to share it with you.
Exclusive to Mac OS X (sorry Windows users), Snapheal is described as an "amazing, first-of-its-kind photo application that lets you perform professional image enhancements in minutes, doesn’t require any special knowledge.", and I have to say, "it's a pretty amazing app".
Above: This photo was taken on my Fuji X-10 to test Snapheal. As you can see, it did a pretty good job of removing the unwanted foreground, and coped well with the 12 megapixel jpeg image, making it an ideal app for processing photos from your iPhone or any other digital camera.
Here is what Snapheal can do for you:
- Remove unwanted objects from the image
- Make skin imperfections vanish
- Erase unwanted text (watermarks, etc)
- Dramatically enhance photos with clone & stamp tool
- Lighten dark areas
- Sharpen images
- Add blur
- Adjust saturation, gamma, light levels, shadows and much more

On an unrelated note -
Do you have a suggestion on a stylus that works well on an iPhone? In smaller areas of a photo, such as the fence removal demonstrated in above video, my chunky finger is not precise enough. I tried a Q-tip but for some reason it doesn't work. I need a stylus for more detailed photo app work.
Thanks!
The other thing that bugged me considerably is that there were a myriad typos, misspellings and general grammar problems that were too much to bear (especially since it takes FOREVER to render your changes AND you have to view "fun" trivia throughout the whole process).
Sad, really.
