Grid Lens from the developer of Phoster is a new and unique diptych app that lets you capture and create diptych style images in realtime. Unlike other diptych apps, Grid Lens only lets you capture not load photos in to each of the frames, which may limit the apps use, but what it does offer, is the ability to create your own frames with custom layouts*, and a number of pre-defined filter effects that can be applied to the finished result before saving or sharing**.The Grid Lens realtime camera mode features...
- Single Lens Mode (Dividing units)
- Multi Lens Mode (Compound Eyes – repeating units)
- Burst Shot
- Manual Shot
- Touching to capture on grid
- Modifying thickness of grid line
- Picking grid border colors
- 5 Frame ratio
*Custom layout/grid mode has...
- 17 pre-build grids
- the ability to undo/redo
…plus you can create your own grids, and drag to add or divide new grid lines.
**Grid Lens lets you save at high-res (not full-res), offers 6 filter effects and sharing via Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Instagram or Email.

The app is creative, well developed, the animations are fantastic. I only have a few things I would ask or add to this great new app...
1. add full resolution save support.
2. add diagonal grid lines in preset templates & when creating your own grid templates.
3. adding color filter effects. B&W & Sepia for sure, if any others are added that would be a bonus.
4. add the paper textures from Phoster to the options for border colors & textures.
5. option to apply text & unique & creative fonts included not generic fonts.
6. the option to load images from camera roll / photo album if the user wanted to. but not a must for me with this app.
If you are looking for a new, interesting, unique take on Diptych styled photos or creative collages taken with your iPhone... Grid Lens is a worthy, well developed & fun addition to your collection.
At .99c, this app is grossly under-priced.
