Keep shooting this winter with Mujjo touchscreen gloves

One of the problems faced by iPhoneographers that live in colder climates, is how to keep your hands warm whilst shooting with your iPhone. Well, Mujjo may just have the answer with their touchscreen gloves.

These stretchable gloves, made with high-quality silver-coated nylon fibers*, that are knitted into the fabric, offer a nice fit, and they really do work. Whilst they may not keep your hands warm in extreme temperatures, they should be just fine for most of us, and priced at just €24.95 euros, they're not going to break the bank.

*These silver-coated nylon fibers make the gloves conductive and therefore touchscreen compatible.

www.7dayshop.com have some basic ones for £5, and others for £8 (I bought the £5 ones several months ago. Thinish wool but they definitely do the job). Or you could always buy a reel of conductive thread (from a sewing shop) and sew it into your own gloves (the thread just needs to create a circuit between the touchscreen and your finger inside the glove)

@Mark, the gloves on 7dayshop may be cheaper, but they don't look a nice :)

Those are crazy expensive. I bought mine for 5$ and they have worked great through two cold Finnish winters. Just search ebay for "Touch Screen Gloves".

Am I the only one who feels like my iPhone would constantly slip right out of my hands if I had gloves on?

There are so many apps now with auto focus, exposure, etc. Save yourself some money and find one for shooting in cold temperatures. Just turn on the app with a glove off (should take what, about 2 seconds max) & use the on/off button to shoot with gloves on....problem solved.

@Glyn - They are nice, and if I could afford them.. :-) Not entirely sure of their claim that they "..came up with the revolutionary conductive touchscreen glove.." though!

@Stuart - Yes. Without a cover the iPhone is a slippery little bugger in hands or gloves!

@rcg - I think all apps have always had auto focus etc by default (separate focus, exposure, etc, is a more recent offering in apps). You mean the volume button? Unfortunately, quite a few iPhone cases leave the buttons recessed a little - hard to get to unless you have quite thin gloves.

Again, another iPhone accessory for people with too much money. €25 is excessive for what it is and, as others have stated, these gloves can be acquired elsewhere for much, much less. Shop around, peeps!
