ProCamera has come along very nicely recently. Very comparable to Camera+. I find myself switching between the two as I like both and can't decide on which one should be exclusive.
I think one of the best feature in this app - is the 'background saving' i.e. you do not have to wait till the image saves to the library before you can start using the app.
It's my favorite app when i want to take 'raw' pics to process them with other apps.
After running throuh no fewer than 6 'camera replacement' apps, ProCamera has become my daily default. Love the focus and exposure controls, and for me the ability choose Save or Discard after taking a pic is mandatory, love this feature. One of the few apps I use literally every single day.
this has been my replacement camera app since i have downloaded it.. though i find it weird on why we have to save the image first before we can apply corrections to it... or am i missing something?
@donnbh - check your app settings - there is an option to autosave - set this to ON.
@donnbh
I like ProCamera saving the original into camera roll. It is a must for me.
First i finish my shootings. Then I decide which apps (mostly others than ProCamera) i will use for postprocessing. Sometimes i make a different version months later. For me its important to have the uncorrected pics too.
By the way i like how Cross Process and ShakeitPhoto are solving this issue. They have an option to save both the processed and unprocessed pic.
Can anyone please speak to the app's 6X digital full resolution zoom? How good is it? Because if it's genuinely good, that alone is very much worth the price.
I'd appreciate some insight on this. Thanks.
@Edgar Antonio Nunez
Digital zoom is never worth using. Zooming it yourself in post production will give you higher quality results.
@bhar.at, @Tomba
thanks for the input..
i was thinking about Camera+'s Lightbox... i wish ProCamera would have a similar option...
@Donnbh
I hope ProCamera will never or only as an option.
Yesterday Camera+ 2.1 update added the option to save directly into camera roll like ProCamera :-)
@Tomba
ProCamera is my primary camera... :D
