qbro from developer JellyBus is a simple to use, nicely featured app that creates low-res 612 x 612 pixel square photos [although higher, but not full-res is promised] that will be of more interest to Instagram users than iPhoneographers.

Agreed, Glyn. Instagram came to mind when I saw the low resolution of this app. Problem is that Instagram already does this well enough for most, does it free, and has a user base of over 2 million now, I believe. If you're going to use another effects app with Instagram, it might as well be one that supports high resolution images, like PictureShow, CameraBag, or Infinicam. All are just about as easy to use.
I'm looking forward to seeing how qbro develops -- no pun intended....

The app description promises full resolution now, so I coughed up the $0.99 in the hopes it would encourage them to fulfil that promise (unlike Instagram, who said 5 months ago that it would be in one of the next couple updates).
I do like the option to re-order the filters, and remove the ones I don't like from the editing screen. It does look like a clone that will (in my opinion) surpass the original if they deliver on the full resolution.
