App Update: Dynamic Light

Dynamic Light, my new favourite app has just been updated to resolve some memory issues when handling large image files.

Disappointingly, this update has also removed the Dutch Light filter effect, and replaced it with a new Ultra Contrast effect, an effect that many will hate. I'm not sure why the developers have done this, but lets hope they bring back Dutch Light.

Above: Gone is the "Dutch Light" filter, in comes the disappointing "Ultra Contrast" filter.

Bought it today. Beautiful day outside - look forward to testing this new APP.

And for anyone who has asked, developer's description in iTunes says it supports Retina Display.

I, as a Dutch man, want Dutch light back (and being Dutch has actually nothing to do with that)!

I agree, I liked the Dutch Light a lot more too. Mysterious Light is my most used effect though, wish there could be more like that in the near future in this otherwise brilliant app !!!

Just bought it. My new favorite app also. Noticed in the screen shot preview before I bought the app that the Dutch Light filter is still shown. Let's hope they bring it back.

Shouldn't have upgraded. Dutch Light was infinitely better than the Weird Contrast(tm) effect in there now. :(

Thanx for the warning guys. Being Dutch too; I'll keep my light and will not upgrade until you get yours back 8-)

I was also extremely disappointed that they took out Dutch Light and I won't update it until they bring it back, because that is my favorite effect. I hope they're listening to us.

I totally agree with you on the Dutch Light. I emailed them and requested it. I also asked that maybe the option of layering the filters would be an option.

Here is there contact page. email them.

Why do developers produce a app with great effects, frame or image technique and then get you into using it and then delete it from the app? That effect might be why some purchased the app...

Why can't they simply add the new effects and keep the old ones also?

I find that from reading this area and others this happens many times.

I can name about many who have done this, I am sure you can too???

If you read the description on itunes they will put the dutch light back just need to make more space for effects.

My email reply from the developer. I love when they get back to their customers.

Hi, yes, I will put it back of course. I will need to make more of pages for effects on the FX screen. Sorry about this, I thought this would be the least used one so this is why I swapped it.

Strange decision concerning Dutch Light. I think they have to bring it back and they probably know that too. It's just meant to see if people would react.

Thanks for posting the developer's reply, Darrin. It's always awesome to know that an amazing app comes with responsive, friendly devs.

The new update of Dynamic Light is available and it did indeed bring back Dutch Light, along with a couple of other updates that make it even better than before.
