1) That doesn't look like 30fps
2) The gradient between blurred and unblurred parts is rather crisp.
3) I thought the iPhone could film 480p? Why isn't the you tube video at that res?

@Ben, I just did a quick test, and it's not full-res. The videos save at 480 x 360

This is a disappointment

Useless without HD export.

And a static camera function would be excellent.

Unfortunately it doesn't capture smooth video on my 3GS. Nice idea though!

@Glyn Thanks you so much for your review.

@Ben @Shadow I've tested on 20 devices, FPS is about 15 on iPhone 4 / iTouch 4, only one iPhone 4 was very unsmooth, I don't know why. The resolution is 480x360. The gradient between blurred and unblurred parts can be adjusted. The speed and resolution are limited by the processing power of iPhone 4. These will be improved on iPhone 5.

You see, it's not 720p.

If the iPod is capable of 720p and running high end apps, then why not allow it in this app?

Is it an api limitation for you developers to not allow full res (720p) and 30 fps?

@Shadow iPod 4/iPhone 4 can only record 720p video without complex processing. Tilt shift effect needs some complex calculation, iPod 4/iPhone 4 have no enough processing power, 720p may be supported on iPhone 5.

8mm Vintage Camera uses the same technology as Realtime TiltShift Video, it doesn't support 720p too.

Thanks for the replies.

I still think this would be amazing as camera app for photos.
