App Update: ShakeItPhoto version 2.0 is out

If you're a fan of ShakeItPhoto then you may be pleased to know that version 2.0 has just hit the App Store.  But what's new you may ask? Well, there's a new app icon, and the Banana Camera Co. the developers behind this popular app, have just licensed the "Polaroid Classic Border", and so now you can choose to create your ShakeItPhoto's with the apps original or this new classic border.

Hurrah! New update does indeed have a 'proper' Polaroid border (but you can still choose the old, square one if you prefer), so I might now be ready to finally update my iPhone's iOS and finally say a teary goodbye to my old faithful friend Polarize once and for all.

ShakeItPhoto is not as good as Polarize in terms of the way it 'processes' the image, so I'll probably have to do a bit of a treatment in PhotoGenie or another app before I run it through SIP but it seems like the best of the bunch at the moment and is at least hi res...

A very welcome future update would be an option to open the app in CameraRoll mode, rather than automatically going to camera, or just a choice-screen on startup.

But you still cannot tag the Polaroid with a thick feltmarker like you can with Polarize.

Does anyone know if this update changes the colour? The second to latest update had the softer, more muted colours... And I've been refraining from updating to the latest version (before the new border), since I prefer the softer hues.

Hi Sherry, the colour effect is the original, I think the devs have left the softer more muted colour behind, which is a shame, because like you, I liked it.

Thanks Glyn. I'll hold off on updating until I HAVE to then!! :)
