Here's another Kickstarter project, the olloclip, a simple and elegant solution to the problem of how to quickly and easily attach an extra lenses to your iPhone.

The olloclip is a quick-connect lens solution for the iPhone 4 that includes a fisheye, wide-angle and macro lenses in one small, convenient package that easily fits in your pocket, and attached to your iPhone 4 within 2 seconds.

For more information or place a pledge, then check out the Kickstarter page here.

Very good idea but 45$ +5$ Shipping is to much for it IMHO.

I love this idea and I will also support it. Especially now when the dollar is at a record low.
It really gains people outside the US... unfortunately.

$45+ does sound expensive, but you seem to be getting 4 lenses. I own all 5-6 of the Gizmon lenses from Japan (the best quality lenses available). And those average $30 each so if supporting the olloclip is an alternative at a lower price, it seems a nice kit & attachment design.

=)

I hope that this works for them but I wonder how 3 people with a great idea find $15,000 an insurmountable startup cost

Looks to me like there is no other similar solution...others seem like hard case mounts etc. This looks simple and quick. Any comparisons?

$45 dollars too pricey? Seriously? I'm speechless at how either frugal, or cheap this group of iphone users are. Being knowledgable about injection molding, please understand that those guys are creating a custom designed product that requires money for the tooling. 15,000 is probably an average cost to create the mold to make the product and that doesn't include the cost of materials, etc....

Tell me how any of you guys could possibly try to absorb the cost of that without selling this product at the price. $45 to me is probably their attempt to be as low cost as possible.

My questions is...will it work with a protective case? I don't leave home without it.
