App Update: 6x6

6x6, the truly square format camera app for the iPhone has just been updated to address a couple issues reported by its users.

First up the developer has added the ability to turn on or off the iPhone 4's flash, with the implementation of the "manual flash control", which is located in the top left-hand corner of the app screen. In addition to this, the developer has refined the framing grid for Retina displays, and finally the image saving is buffered so that the app can take the next shot much quicker than before.

Despite this apps limited range/lack of features, I do like what it offers, and if square format is your think, then you'll probably like 6x6.

Author was quick to make the needed changes. All it needs now IMO is a visual cue that the photo was taken (if you have mute on). Very nice app, does what I need it to, no more.

Nice simple no fuss app. I was disappointed when I got it about a week ago as it was really slow to save (saves direct to camera roll) but the update has cured this.
