App Store Description: You’ve probably heard the tired cliche about a picture being worth a thousand words. We’ve taken this phrase quite literally and created WordFoto, an app that turns photos and words into amazing typographic works of art.
Feature Highlights:
Fast and fully automated word filling algorithm.- Manual word filling fine tune parameters.
- Inspect detail in zoomable preview.
- Eight unique preset styles.
- User defined custom styles with lots of parameters.
- Import images from photo album or camera.
- Crop editor.
- Manage and create your own word sets.
- Resulting word images are full resolution.
- Save, email or share on Facebook.
- Save original and cropped original.

Editors comments: This is a new, simple, easy to use, quirky app from developer bitCycle [the developers behind "Lenses" - remember that app?] that lets you add/layer custom or predefined words over the top of your iPhone photos [Please note: this effect will not suit all photos, and so may be limited in use].
Above: My own WordFoto shadow.
Despite this apps simplicity, it also has its own built in cropping tool and pre-defined colour effects, as well as the ability to create your own, and to top it all, it support full-res saves.
Although this app does not fit in to the bargain basement category, costing £1.19/$1.99/€1.59, if you like quirky apps like Percolator, then you'll almost certainly like WordFoto.

Highly recommended in my opinion.
I'm willing to give them a second chance given how stellar this app looks but may wait to see how things go.
Trying to succeed as an indie app developer involves a huge risk taking, you invest a lot of time and money and each dollar someone decide to spend on an app from an indie dev is part of that risk, the app may end up as deadware for a number of reasons, eg bad marketing, bad app, technical problems, or in short: the app and/or concept was not popular or doable enough to motivate further development. This is a consequence of App Store mechanics, and the only way to avoid it is to buy apps only from big companies.
Right now, WordFoto is on the TOP 25 Photo in over 20 countries, including US and UK. This is something completely new to us and we're really excited! Maybe the four months spent on getting the space finding / word filling algorithm fast and good enough for a first release was worth it! :)
It's so inspiring to see all the stuff you guys are making using WordFoto, especially in combination with all the other photo apps, a lot of it is so much better than what we've managed to come up with ourselves:

Thank you for your support! Now we will stop whining and continue working on the update! Some of you have heard that one before, haven't you! ; )
This app is really cool. Other apps such as Percolator seem to be catching on more as artistic or casual, fun photography spreads (Instagram, 500pix, etc).
I'm using it with students studying language, so it can have even educational uses!
Good luck to you both.
Cheers.
