Glyn Evans "Frametastic, a disappointingly, low-res, Diptic like app, that is better suited to Instagram than iPhoneography" - Glyn Evans, editor, iPhoneography.com
Following my announcement earlier this week of Frametastic, a Diptic like app, the developers sent me a promo code to try the app out, and here is my quick view.
This is a theme/non themed based, simple, easy to use app with some nice alternative frames to other apps of this type. Tapping the frame of your choice loads the frame with sample photos inserted. Tapping each window allows you to take or load a photo, and/or open the effects menu, from which you can apply any one of 18 predefined effects. Each photo can be positioned using pinch to zoom or drag,
before saving, emailing or sharing via Twitter or Facebook.
Overall this is a nice app, that is sadly let down by the very poor resolution of just 900 x 900 pixels, and the theme based boarders. That said, if you only plan to share your creations on Instagram, then Frametastic will probably satisfy you.
Likes:
- The alternative frame layouts
Dislikes:
- Low-res output of 900 x 900 pixels
- The theme based boarders
