Through the Lens of an iPhone challenge: The "Landscapes" that have caught my eye so far
Sunday, July 10, 2011 at 10:36AM |
Glyn Evans Well, it's been just over a week since the July Through the Lens of an iPhone photo challenge started, and there have been plenty of "Landscape" photos entered, and here are just a few of the ones that caught my eye.
[Note: Please hover your mouse over photo to reveal the photographer, and click to visit that photographers Flickr page].
If you haven't join in with the fun, why not read the rules here, then head over to the "Through the Lens of an iPhone" Flickr group and start uploading, but remember, no DSLR or computer manipulated images.

spasiba, glyn!
That said, I'd dearly love to be proven wrong. It would certainly be inspirational if it *was* taken with an iPhone!
Lovely pics though all - those responsible should be proud of their work here!
But I'm very well aware of the iPhone camera's amaaaazing ability to capture detail. This is one of my old 3GS shots that when I printed I honestly had a hard time distinguishing it from some of the old Ilford shots I made in the b/w chemical darkroom: http://www.flickr.com/photos/paulmarshphotography/4015479271/sizes/o/in/set-72157624936569661/
Back in April, I hung some prints for my local Arts Walk community art display, and I had an informal contest for people to determine which of the prints were made with my iPhone and which weren't. The photo I've linked above got everyone every time. No one guessed that it was an iPhone shot -- precisely for the reasons y'all were talking about above -- the amazing level of detail in the scene that was captured all throughout the scene convinced people that in no way shape or form could it have been made with an iPhone.
Yep. All iPhone...
The clouds, light, and wind created a magical moment. Thanks for including me in your "landscapes that have caught my eye" edition.
