I have absolutely no affiliation with this app — just a power-user of it. This is a welcome update, especially on the iPhone, and especially for the ability to preserve meta data now!
Turns out, Iris is the best darn tool. It's so intuitive. I have tried doing layers with masks on Filterstorm3 and have done ok..., and have not figured out how the hell to do that on Photoforge2. On Iris I just 'got' it right away and have done some cool things with it that I'd never have been able to do with another app. Also, the "Color Sense" feature works so damn well on Iris... I have had so much fun selecting a color and replacing it on Iris. And the selection of textures you can use to add complexity and mood to your photos is awesome.
Right now, Iris and Filterstorm are my goto apps.
Photo Forge is cool, has some nice things but it is not intuitive at all. Filterstorm is a bit better but still confusing at times. Iris is as good but so easy anyone can do it.
