App Alert: Kinotopic is FREE for 1 day

Kinotopic, which has generated a lot of chat here on the iPhoneography blog is FREE for one day, today, Wednesday the 18th January.

Kinotopic is a young, fun and very promising app that allows you to create cinemagraphs right on your iPhone, and share them via Twitter, Tumblr or Facebook, and in my opinion, and despite the negative reviews in the App Store, is definitely worth the download.

I got Kinotopic right away when I saw your previous article. It took me 30 seconds to be a little pissed at it : mandatory Facebook sign on and public publishing without notice.

BUT I didn't rush into writing a bad comment : I emailed the author asking for my picture removal and saying what I had to say. This day and the days after we exchanged a lot of emails, and he made a lot of changes to the app in no time. He understood my points, was very listening, very reactive and very kind. A great example of developer / user relationship.

The app is successful in keeping the experience simple on the phone and giving the geeks extra material to work with in an email sent after each cinemagraph published.

I totally share you opinion on this app. It deserves the money, and if it's free for the day then it's a great deal!

Thanks for posting this info. I was close to buying it when you first reviewed it; I'm glad I waited!

Tried and don't like it. I'm sick of these apps that want you to create an account before you can use them. Who is giving these developers the crazy idea that we want to set up accounts all over in order to be able to take pictures or video?

Insanity!
