AnalogColor comes to the iPhone

AnalogColor for the iPhone is the little sister of AnalogColor, which as it's name suggests is another retro toy camera app that offers the usual features we've all come to expect from these types of apps.

The app is simple to use, load or take a photo, apply one of the 4 presets, or use the randomiser and save.

The app does have some extra options, you can adjust things like brightness, the strength of the cross-process, light leak, vignette and film grain effects.

Sadly, and despite the pleasing results and simplicity of this app, the maximum resolution it currently saves at is just 960x720 pixels, which is just not good enough in todays app market.

Yes, I balked at buying it when I saw a review on the apps page saying there was no full res save. Also no "pola frame", but I don't know what that is.

Very disappointed, I waited years for this to be available on the iPhone.
Purchased it right away & was letdown.

They added so called limitations to description after I'd already bought app. Not included in description when I paid for it.

Low resolution, does not support full resolution.

No borders

Only a few filter effects

No lenses and limited leak effects compared to ToyCamera AnalogColor for the computer.

Sadly disappointed in a highly anticipated iPhone version.

Ouch. I'm so tired of seeing tempting apps ruined by the failure to provide full res. Thanks for the warning, I was on the brink of buying this one earlier today. Instead it's on my App Shopper wishlist until the day I see an update declaring full resolution is supported.

@John V. Keogh : Ha you read my (orbitalbox) review on AppStore. The "pola frame" was referring to the polaroid border they have in the desktop version, which I thought was very fun, similar to "Poladroid" but with a lot more adjustments to play with.

The iPhone version is a giant disappointment.

Ok, it IS the light version, but until- at least- the developer implements full res save and (please) one photo frame, people, DO NOT BUY. I blame myself not doing homework before committing, to be fair, they listed all these deficiency on their http://www.pentacom.jp/pentacom/analogcolor_mobile/ website.

There is no excuse for not having a full resolution save. Period.

I am running ios 5.0.1 on 4s and it is slow.

Other photo apps have instant preview of the result, in AnalogColor, you have to wait for it. It matters because there are many slider bars to play with and it is time consuming to adjust each one and wait for the result.

And it is "on-sale from $1.99". Do I get full res save for $1.99?

A full resolution update is being tested by yours truly! So, you might as well get it while it's on sale now.
