This interesting app from JixiPix Software uses what they call "near infrared light technology", along with infrared colour filters to add violet, blue, green, yellow, orange, and red colours, and all their combinations back into your image. The combination is described as creating "stunning imagery with otherworldly and mysteriously atmospheres."

Related: older iPhones (pre-4S) didn't have an infrared filter from what I've heard. Has anyone ever tried using a filter to see if it can do actual IR photography?
But with that said I also would like to say that I really like this app .... it's a lot of fun and you can get some very interesting results that break away from the "looks" we're getting from most altering apps. I was pleased that you can use photos that are on your phone and that you're not restricted to only applying the effects to a photo taken within the app.
