Kickstarter: Shoot high shoot low with a HiLO Lens

If you are looking for an alternative angle of view when shooting with your iPhone, then check out this new Kickstarter project for the HiLO Lens.

The HiLO Lens is the first right angle lens designed for the iPhone4/4S/5 & iPad3. With this simple device you'll be able to shoot...

  • Low angle - great for photographing young children and pets
  • High angle - like a periscope for photographing over a crowd
  • Wide angle - choose wide or standard, for video and photos
  • Any surface becomes a tripod - just lay the iPhone down
  • Self portraits & group shots - with an adjustable shutter delay

For more information on this Kickstarter project, head over to the HiLO project page, which can be found here.

Glyn, thanks so much for posting about HiLO Lens!! We really hope the iPhoneography community will get behind this project. It is a niche product and designed with them in mind, we are relying on the success of the Kickstarter to get the idea to market. Cheers, Mark.

this idea sucks...I don't see why this thing would be useful.

and there's no way that the adapter "improves image quality" as stated in the video. the more glass you put between the sensor and the subject, the more image quality deteriorates.

Correction to my previous post:

i watched the video again and the creators stated that the app improves image quality, Not the apparatus.

I backed it! Seems like a really cool way to do it. And even somewhat future proof!
