Editor A few days after my exclusive preview, the updated version of Perfectly Clear from Athentech Imaging, has hit the App Store.
Now a universal app, this update puts the intelligent image correction app back to the top of its game, and with support for up to 22 megapixels on the 3rd and 4th generation iPad, this update should prove popular with photographers who like to shoot with their DSLR's and edit in the field on their iPad's, making this a must have app, and a truly all-rounder.
So, what's new in Perfectly Clear v3.0
- Completely redesigned interface: even more intuitive and fun to use. Includes time saving presets!
- Universal App: now you can run our award winning app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Powerful noise removal: built right in, no need for in-app purchase
- Beautify: Automatically applies breakthrough technology to render flawless skin, sparkling eyes and teeth.
- New "De-Purple" correction: fixes the phenomenon when the camera is pointed at or near the sun or bright light source, causing extreme purple in the image - one click and Perfectly Clear makes an unusable image awesome!
Supported file sizes:
- iPhone 4 and 4S = 12 megapixels
- iPhone 5 = 22.5 megapixels
- iPad 1 = 8 megapixels
- iPad 2 = 12 megapixels
- 3rd & 4th Generation iPad = 22.5 megapixels
App Store Link: Perfectly Clear; Price: FREE for existing owners, or £1.99/$2.99/€2.39 for new

What have they done? I own the iPad version and would be interested to know
Kudos to Perfectly Clear for going universal! This is one of those apps I haven't bought because I'd rarely use it, but I keep an eye out for a sale because it's excellent.
If you bought the iPad version please e-mail me @ support@athentech.com
We will take care of this issue.
Best regards,
Team Athentech
The portrait enhance feature is very very powerfull. The app looks far more stable.
There is just one feature I still have to complain about: the color vibrancy which makes dark areas become almost black and clipped.
Maybe I make a misuse of it but I wish I could enhance colors without suffering this side effect. Once this corrected, Perfectly Clear will certainly be the best image quick-processing app!
