AutoStitch Panorama, now available for the iPad
Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 6:50PM |
Editor My number one panoramic app for the iPhone has just arrived on the iPad. With a maximum output of up to 36 megapixels, and tested by the developers to work with imported images of up to 16 megapixels (subject to iPad model), this new app from Cloudburst Research looks set to become the perfect panoramic app for the "mobile photographer".
AutoStitch Panorama for iPad features...
- Simple and intuitive interface. Just choose or snap images and tap "Stitch"
- Choice of resolutions up to 36 megapixels for poster-quality prints (iPad2 or newer)
- All source images are retained, so you can change stitch options later
- Crop the result with automatic or manual cropping
- Includes StitchGuide augmented-reality viewfinder (iPad2 or newer)
- Stitch photos taken with any other camera or app
- Share your creations via email, Facebook, or Twitter

I do think some of the new items sound good.
But what does that meen it exports at 36 megapixels. I think it exports at megs. Prity sure tyhe ipad only will handle jpegs up to 18 megs.
One thing which is desperatelly needed in the app is exposure adjustment, as one pans and takes multiple shots the brightly lit shots get to dark and the dark areas get to bright, an exposure lock would be awesome.
Saving all the shots will fill ip the memory fast, is there a way to dump them later.
The lines that apear on screen showing where you have allready shot are great.
Can autostitch make a version to run on the imac desktop??
I need stitching software there as well and would like it to be the same.
Thanks
