SnappGrip, the snap-on camera control for your iPhone

Some of you may remember "Red Pop", the short lived hardware shutter release button for the iPhone, that started life off as a Kickstarter project. Well, UK based designer Lee Harris is hoping to bring a new type of hardware shutter release solution to your iPhone, in the form of the SnappGrip.

The SnappGrip controller mounts to a protective case, so you can attach it when you want to, and aims to provide your iPhone with easy to use shutter and zoom controls.

More information on the SnappGrip can be found on the Kickstarter project page.

not sure how this add on is more than just fancy.. zooming and 3 hard coded settings are not what i really want as an iphonenographer. in the stead control over shutter speed and aparture and ISO would have been a great improvement. i must say that a kickstarter video without a detailed explanation of the product is unusual at best. would love to see this product in it's 2nd version where the more in depth control of the camera, a la "645 pro" is designed into the hardware.
