Filters! a disappointing new app from Formatt Hitech

Filters! is a new iPhone app from professional photographic and broadcast filter manufacturer/supplier Formatt Hitech.

The App: Despite being described as an app that "greatly enhances the photographic function of your iPhone by allowing the use of professional quality exposure adjustments, neutral density filters, graduated filters, color filters, black & white and special effects filters during the image capture", Filters! lacks the ability to import from the camera roll, making this "professional quality" app limited in usability.

What I think of Filters!: The filter effects are nice, and the app supports up to full-res support on an iPhone 5 (although you'll have to enable full-res in the apps options), so if you are looking for an app with a tone of live filter effects, then this app will not disappoint, but for me, and with its lack of import functionality, this app was a waste of £1.49/$1.99/€1.59, and has already been deleted from my iPhone.

We're on the same page. Without the ability to import from the camera roll I have zero interest. Thanks for the heads up!

Pity! the app had great possibilities with filters used in dslr's.

Wow, this was short and harsh. You don't complain about the Jaggr apps not importing from the camera roll, but you complain about this one? I trully fail to see the logic. It's a camera app, and didn't say anywhere in the app description that it imports photos.
Some of the filters are fantastic, may be the best we have seen in the App Store. But shooting is slow, and saved pictures are all white. That's right: it saves pictures, but not their content, on my iPhone 4. And THAT is a good reason to delete it.

Maybe it's the weekend and you don't have the time to review the app. Hopefully you will feel more inclined later on. Btw, if you do, long pressing on the screen controls exposure.

I don't like apps that don't have an import functionality too, but on the other hand Hipstamatic or Kitcam get a lot of praise, while they don't a have a possibility to import from camera roll too.

If there are some nice, pro quality filters I'd give it a try, but i searched the web for some examples, but found almost nothing.
