SimplyB&W is back, and is now free forever

The excellent SimplyB&W black and white app for your iOS device is now back in the app store, and is now part of the Fotosyn catalogue of apps, sitting alongside Bleach Bypass and the very new and excellent Geló.

Whilst this rerelease under new ownership does not bring anything new, Fotosyn have promised a series of updates during the course of 2013.

Out of curiosity, I gave it a try and basically there's nothing that could not be done with Snapseed; and Snapseed has a great sharpening tool and other options. Simple B&W also crashed on my iPad mini when saving the converted photo to the camera roll. So I deleted the app.

Can someone recommend a color app that has the same vignetting control as SimplyB&W?

Ahh sorry to see you go. I know there's a wee issue with saving sometimes. Looking into it to sort the problem, should be an easy fix

For those of you sticking around with Simply B&W, currently working with a big name landscape photographer and putting together some really cool tutorials. Not specific to the app but trying to build a bit of learning into the app itself.
