The iPhoneography blog officially arrives on Flipboard

If you find following the iPhoneography blog whilst on the move, or having no mobile site designed for viewing back on the iPhone a pain, then thanks to the good folks over at Flipboard, you can now get your iPhoneography fix where ever and when ever you like (as long as you have an internet connection).

Flipboard have very kindly included us in their "Photos & Design" section, so if you are already using Flipboard, then just browse to that section and add us to your Flipboard favourites.

If you don't have Flipboard installed on your iPhone, then now is the time to download and install this FREE app from the App Store, then search for the iPhoneography blog under Flipboard's "Photos & Design" section (the section is sorted alphabetically, so you can find us under i), click on the plus symbol (+) next to our name, and then enjoy your favourite blog in a format that suites your iPhone's screen better than our current website does.

Whilst this Flipboard solution is perfect for the iPhone, you can also use Flipboard on your iPad, but don't forget for the best experience on your iPad or computer, you can't beat your good old web browser.

"Giulietta on Ice", an Alfa Romeo UK iPhone video

Just before Christmas I was approached by Performance PR Ltd, and asked if I would like to watch them shoot a video with a difference for Alfa Romeo. Intrigued, I said yes, and on the 5th January 2012 I headed to the venue, which was the SkyDome in Coventry, where I met with Dominic Vizor and the rest of the team.

The video, which was shot entirely on iPhones using FiLMiC Pro, included an Alfa Romeo Giulietta, an ice rink, two professional ice hockey players from Team Blaze, a stunt driver (Paul Swift), a film director and of course (the rest of us) the film crew.

The day went well, with the Giulietta's "Vehicle Dynamic Control" system performing well on the ice, and against the two ice hockey players. The Giulietta with the aid of stunt driver Paul Swift even managed to score a goal or two (see video).

In total there were about 6 iPhones used with a bunch of accessories (see kit list below), which included my DiffCase protected iPhone 4, which was magnetically attached to the car bonnet and drivers door with the aid of my Joby Gorillapod Magnetic, before being spun around the ice.

Among The Redwoods, a short film from DiffCase

This short film was shot at a park in Northern California with an iPhone 4 housed in a DiffCase.

Having used the DiffCase myself (see this video), and despite my original reservations about this case, I can vouch that the DiffCase mounts nicely to any tripod or dolly-slider, and allows much greater flexibility for iPhone filmmakers, than any other case I've used to date.
