Intrigued, I said yes, and on the 5th January 2012 I headed to the venue, which was the SkyDome in Coventry, where I met with Dominic Vizor and the rest of the team.<br /><br /><span class="full-image-float-left ssNonEditable"><span><img style="width: 165px;" src="http://www.iphoneography.com/storage/_glyn/Alfa_shoot_5_050212.JPG?__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION=1328450855420" alt="" /></span></span>The video, which was shot entirely on iPhones using FiLMiC Pro, included an Alfa Romeo Giulietta, an ice rink, two professional ice hockey players from Team Blaze, a stunt driver (Paul Swift), a film director and of course (the rest of us) the film crew.<br /><br />The day went well, with the Giulietta's "Vehicle Dynamic Control" system performing well on the ice, and against the two ice hockey players. The Giulietta with the aid of <a class="offsite-link-inline" href="http://paulswift.com/" target="_blank">stunt driver Paul Swift</a> even managed to score a goal or two (see video).<br /><br />In total there were about 6 iPhones used with a bunch of accessories (see kit list below), which included my DiffCase protected iPhone 4, which was magnetically attached to the car bonnet and drivers door with the aid of my Joby Gorillapod Magnetic, before being spun around the ice.</p>

<p>This short film was shot at a park in Northern California with an iPhone 4 housed in a <a href="http://www.iphoneography.com/journal/tag/diffcase">DiffCase</a>.<br /><br />Having used the DiffCase myself (see this video), and despite my original reservations about this case, I can vouch that the DiffCase mounts nicely to any tripod or dolly-slider, and allows much greater flexibility for iPhone filmmakers, than any other case I've used to date.<br /><br />More information on the DiffCase can be found <a class="offsite-link-inline" href="http://bit.ly/tpTAzk" target="_blank">here</a>.</p>]]></content></entry></feed>
