This pop video (a cover of 80's pop group A Flock of Seagulls - "Wishing") by The Mazarines was shot by Renee Faia, using an iPhone and Nexvio Inc's 8mm Vintage Camera app, and is another great example of what can be done when an iPhone is in the right hands.
8mm Vintage Camera, the video camera app that lets you create retro movies in real time or from imported videos has just been updated, fixing compatibility issues with the iPhone 4S, optimised performance on iOS 5 devices, the options to upload your videos to Facebook, but most importantly, 8mm now supports 720P HD video recording on the iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, and iPod Touch 4 devices running iOS 5.
In additions to 8mm Vintage Camera for the iPhone being updated, Nexvio Inc. have also released 8mm HD, which is the same app, but for the iPad 2*.
App Store Description: 8mm HD brings your iPad and iPad 2 back in time to capture the beauty and magic of old school vintage movies. By mixing and matching films and lenses, you can recreate the atmosphere of those bygone eras with 42 timeless retro looks. Dust & scratches, retro colors, flickering, light leaks, frame jitters - all can be instantly added with a single tap or swipe.
8mm Vintage Camera from developers Nexvio Inc. has just received a welcomed and important update, that now lets you import and convert videos not taken with the app.
This is not the only update that version 1.2 brings, although for me it's the most important one. So, in addition to the import option, there is now a new Super 8 lens, two new films, Noir and 60s, as well as projector sound only and auto-save to Camera Roll options in the apps settings menu, the option to delete all movies from My Reels, and lastly but not least the app now supports AirPlay.
Twitter follower and blog reader Nick Walsh shot this Christmas video with his iPhone 4 and Photojojo Macro and Fisheye lenses, using the all important 8mm Vintage Camera app.
