Darkroom Pro v.3.0 coming to the iPhone soon

Back in June I reported on the photo apps that no longer worked following Apple's iPhone OS 3.0 upgrade, and one of the casualties of this problem was Darkroom and Darkroom Premium from developer Stepcase.

Thankfully following the release of OS 3.1 the issues that plagued a number of developers were resolved and fixes approved by Apple.  Stepcase were one of those developers, and their fix in the form of Darkroom v.2.3 [AppStore Link] and Darkroom Premium v.2.3 [AppStore Link] recently hit the AppStore.

The developers of Darkroom, Stepcase recently contacted me for two reasons.  The first was to offer the readers of this blog some promo codes for Darkroom Premium v.2.3, and the second was to let us know that they have been working on Darkroom Pro v.3.0, with added features and improved UI. Whilst they have not disclosed what these new features will be, they have shared a screenshot of the app.

As soon as this new app becomes available you will be able to read about it here, and there is also some good news for existing owners of Darkroom Premium v.2.3, the upgrade to Darkroom Pro v.3.0 will be free.

Steadycam and Steadycam Premium get new names

If you use either Steadycam and Steadycam Premium, then you may like to know that both of these apps have had a minor update to improve its orientation detection. In addition to this minor improvement, both apps have been renamed, and are now known as Darkroom and Darkroom Premium. Like their previuos versions, Darkroom is still free, and Darkroom Premium is still priced at 59p ($.99).
