Glyn Evans I have lived in Beijing China for 6 years now and have come to love the people and the city as both an American foreigner and a returnee of Chinese descent. I used Nikons, Lumix and Canon Digicams in the past but felt that the iPhone best captured the mood and style that suits me best. My former favorite camera was the cheap plastic Holga and its rough and dreamy feel. Switching to an iPhone for most of my picures felt so natural.
I take many pictures of Beijing because the city is changing fast as it hurtles to modernity and destroys its gritty and historical past. One sees many amazing things in China and having an iPhone to capture it makes me feel engaged.
