App Update: Super 8 becomes Camer8

Super 8, the vintage video camera app has just had a name change and update, so out has gone Super 8, and in has come Camer8.

So what's new?

From the developers: "We added a latch that will hold the record button down for you, just like the old Super 8 cameras had! Just tap it to start recording and tap it again if you want to stop. You can still hold down the record button yourself for a more authentic experience ;)

We've also improved the applied effect and given the tutorial screens an update."

Other improvements:

• Fixed the issue where the viewfinder would not start up properly.
• iPod touch now records in HD.
• Other minor bug fixes.

App Update: Super 8

Super 8, one of the new breed of retro video camera apps has just been updated to version 1.0.1.

Following feedback here on the iPhoneography blog, the developers have introduced the ability to set the record time to either 20, 40 or 60 seconds, or to unlimited if you like, which can be set along with the default tone and effect filter from the iPhone settings menu.
